I met up with my mom and she decided she wanted to eat somewhere. This was the closest place.I've always past this place on the bus, and this must be the first time I've ever been in here. Already it was loud with everyone speaking a different language which I assume is one of the Chinese languages. The waitress didn't show us exactly were to sit. Instead she pointed and we walked over...The menus are under the glass on the table so it was easy to see everything they had to offer.Looking through, there wasn't much that caught my attention. One of the workers dropped by with our plate, tea cup, saucers and chopsticks with napkin. The teapot they had looked dirty, like someone used it for their cigarettes. Gross. It took a long time before the waiter finally came to our table to take our orders. My mom already wanted to get up and leave... I guess we should've!My mom ordered the plain noodles soup and I got the char siu and pork dumplings. The food came by quickly. The service was better after they finally noticed that we were there! My mom and I enjoyed the pork dumplings. The char siu... I prefer the ones at Jade Dynasty, though these were bigger. My mom gave me some of her plain noodles... Yeah it's really plain. So's the broth.

Cheap, decent (if a bit oily) dim sum, noisy waiters, free big pot of green tea. Double check your change. But efficient service.

Grew up all my life eating dim sum. This place has good dim sum at reasonable prices. Small but worth visiting.I believe the owner/chef used to work for golden palace before opening his own place.I only go here and empress for dim sum these days.

The Canton Restaurant is where you will find great chow fun. We Chinese would then say, "Hou wok mi!" The wok has to be extremely hot where you can taste the hot fun just chowed in that fine cooking oil.

Canton House is our very favorite dim sum restaurant. Owner Peggy Li, her father and mother serve up the best bean curd roll, chicken feet, pork and chicken siu mai, char siu bao, shrimp dumpling, look funn, and rice porriage, just to name a few. Choy sum & garlic is one of many fresh cooked vegitable dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The serice is friendly and fast, but you will never feel rushed. If you love dim sum, you MUST try this very special gem in China Town. You will leave Canton House with a satisfied smile, and as you go out the door you will hear Owner Peggy Li say, "Thank You My Friend!"
